Wednesday, July 26, 2023 San Juan Regional Medical Center’s Healthy Living with Diabetes Class Begins in August

If you have diabetes and are ready to take control of your health and improve your life, San Juan Regional Medical Center is here to help. We are offering our comprehensive Healthy Living with Diabetes classes in August. These classes are offered at no cost to you as part of our commitment to build a healthier community. They are designed to give you the tools you need to make the lifestyle changes necessary to not only live with diabetes but thrive and live a healthier life. 

Classes begin August 2, 2023 and run once a week for four weeks. They are held on Wednesdays from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Bonnie Dallas Senior Center Annex Building. The classes are taught by Certified Diabetes Educator Sandy Ridlon, RN, and cover topics that will help you manage your diabetes, such as:

  • Carbohydrate counting
  • Label reading
  • Exercise and activity
  • Medications/Insulin
  • Foot care issues 
  • Preventing long term complications and more
