MY LABS: Patient Ordered Testing

San Juan Regional Medical Center provides high-quality, cost-effective laboratory testing to all patients in the Four Corners region. A doctor or other healthcare provider may recommend lab work for a patient to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of many medical conditions.

Clinical, anatomical, and cytology testing is completed on-site by board-certified pathologists and technologists. For clinical testing, blood and other samples—such as a throat swab—are collected from a patient and submitted for analysis. Anatomical and cytology testing is performed on anything that is removed by a biopsy or surgery in order to determine or exclude the presence of cancer.

Contact your doctor or provider if you have any questions regarding the tests your provider ordered.

All patients scheduled for glucose or lipid testing should fast 12 to 16 hours before testing. Please do not drink or eat anything except for water.

The laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists and DNV.
