San Juan Regional Medical Center is an acute care hospital in the Four Corners region with 198 licensed beds. As a sole community provider of hospital services in San Juan County, New Mexico, the hospital delivers a remarkable range of healthcare services not only to the citizens of San Juan County, but to the people of the entire region. This class covers what to expect for both mom and baby during the postpartum period which extends into the first year after the birth of the baby.  Topics include postpartum healing, what to expect from your newborn and serious complications like postpartum depression as well as important ways to take care of self during the first year with a newborn.
