San Juan Regional Medical Center is an acute care hospital in the Four Corners region with 198 licensed beds. As a sole community provider of hospital services in San Juan County, New Mexico, the hospital delivers a remarkable range of healthcare services not only to the citizens of San Juan County, but to the people of the entire region. SJRMC is accredited by Det Norske Veritas (DNV). Our organization was evaluated in hospital quality, innovation, and continued performance improvement. As a part of our commitment to build a healthier community, we are offering FREE diabetes education services and group classes. Classes meet once a week for four weeks and cover a wide-range of diabetes topics, or you might prefer to meet individually with a certified diabetes educator to discuss and problem-solve a specific issue. Diabetes classes can cover:

  • Healthy eating
  • Carbohydrate counting
  • Blood glucose testing and pattern analysis
  • Exercising and other forms of movement
  • Foot care
  • Learning about medication
  • Avoiding complications

Learn more about diabetes, tips on how to feel better, and how making small changes can have a big impact on your quality of life. Diabetes education is your first step to living well.

Classes meet Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
