SJRMC Recognized in U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Hospitals” Issue
San Juan Regional Medical Center is among the top hospitals in the nation when it comes to delivering treatment to improve the quality of care for heart disease and stroke patients. The hospital was one of five in New Mexico recognized by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association in the U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Hospitals” issue.
San Juan Regional Medical Center joins an elite group of hospitals recognized for adhering to the latest scientific guidelines for heart attack care as part of the Mission: Lifeline® quality initiative. The hospital and its Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Department both received Mission: Lifeline® gold awards for the past two years, demonstrating a strong commitment to quality care to achieve better patient outcomes. The goal of Mission: Lifeline® is to implement proven quality improvement measures to treat patients who have a severe and often deadly type of heart attack called a STEMI.
“Our patients are always our top priority. Utilizing the American Heart Association’s evidence-based treatment guidelines means our patients can count on us for excellent care when they need it most. That’s what we’re here for,” President and CEO Jeff Bourgeois said.
San Juan Regional Medical Center is proud to be honored in the U.S. News and World Report’s “Best Hospitals” issue and looks forward to a long partnership with the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association to build healthier lives in our community, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
