Monday, October 5, 2015 SJRMC to Offer Low-Cost Blood Screenings
San Juan Regional Medical Center will offer low-cost blood screenings to the public on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at San Juan College’s Henderson Fine Arts Building, room 9006. Knowing the results of these tests could make a big difference when it comes to preventing disease, or catching a problem at an early stage.

A total of six tests will be performed by San Juan Regional Medical Center staff, including a comprehensive metabolic panel for $15, a vitamin D screening for $15, a lipid profile for $10, a thyroid profile for $10, a prostate screening for $10, and a hemoglobin and hematocrit screening, also for $10.

No appointments are needed. The blood draws will be done on a first come, first served basis. Anyone wanting to get tested must fast for 12 hours prior to the procedure to assure accuracy, however, drinking water is acceptable. Be sure to bring cash or a check, as credit or debit cards will not be accepted. The results of the tests will be mailed to you within two weeks. Discussing them with a health care professional is important, and could put you on the path to better health. For more information visit sanjuanregional.com or call Katie Hunter at 505.609.6449.
