San Juan Regional Health

San Juan Regional Rehabilitation Hospital has recently begun working to raise $70,000 for a new garden project at the facility. This future garden will create a beautiful and healing place for patients and their families, and include several seating and grassy areas where outdoor therapeutic sessions will be offered. The garden will be safe and secure, with access from the inside.

Recent renovations at San Juan Regional Rehabilitation Hospital were designed to improve care and create a more comfortable, homier feel. Many of the improvements resulted from staff input and contributed to a more healing environment for patients. And due to the recent remodel, the garden can be enjoyed from the indoors as well, all year long, through the large windows that were installed. As with the hospital’s Healing Garden, we know that patients’ environments can have a profound effect on recovery, and look forward to extending the benefit of an additional healing space to the rehabilitation hospital. San Juan Regional Rehabilitation Hospital hopes to have the funds collected and begin their garden project in the spring of 2014.
