Monday, February 4, 2013 Lipid Panel Tests Available

San Juan Regional Medical Center Offers $15 Lipid Panels in Recognition of National Heart Month

Throughout the month of February, a $15 lipid panel will be available at San Juan Regional Medical Center (801 West Maple Street in Farmington) from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during weekends; and at the Outpatient Diagnostic Center (2300 East 30th Street, Building C in Farmington) from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. No appointment is necessary.

The lipid panel tests for cholesterol levels including HDL, LDL, and triglycerides, which are important indicators of heart health. Adults who would like to take advantage of this opportunity are asked to fast for 12 hours before the test to ensure accuracy; water is permitted. Lab results will be mailed to the patient, and can be discussed with a physician.
