Monday, February 17, 2020 SJRMC Closing Main Entrance Overnights

San Juan Regional Medical Center is making some changes to enhance security for our patients and staff. Starting on February 17, 2020, our main entrance will be closed overnights from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on weekdays and 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on weekends.

Anyone visiting patients after hours can enter the hospital through the Emergency Department entrance where a security guard is staffed overnight. In addition, visitors will still be able to exit through the main entrance doors during the overnight hours; they just won’t be able to reenter the building through the main doors.

Keeping the main entrance closed after-hours improves the security of our patients and staff and gives our patients time to focus on their sleep during designated quiet hours, an important part of the healing process. The main entrance closure also helps security officers to improve their responses overnight and allows staff to focus on their patients- our first and most important priority.
