Friday, May 26, 2023 SJRMC Offering New Class for Parents of Multiples

If you’re expecting more than one bundle of joy, San Juan Regional Medical Center’s Childbirth Center is here to help. We are now offering a special class for parents who are having multiples.

Seeing Double is a single, 3 ½ hour course intended to give parents a solid understanding of the special considerations they will face during a pregnancy with two or more babies, and how to cope with two or more newborns at the same time. The course will cover:

  • The basic biology behind having multiples
  • Complications that can be associated with having twins or more
  • How to stay healthy, prepare for delivery, and breastfeed multiple babies
  • What you’ll need to know if your babies stay in the NICU before going home

This class can be taken any time during pregnancy, the earlier the better, and both parents are encouraged to attend. The first class will be h eld on Saturday, June 17 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Register here: https://www.sanjuanregional.com/CREG/double-061723.

If you can’t make this date and would like to schedule an appointment for this course, email Childbirth Educator Kathy Coleman at kcoleman@sjrmc.net.
