San Juan Regional Medical Center Offering Monoclonal Antibody Infusions for Adolescents
San Juan Regional Medical Center is now offering Monoclonal Antibody infusions for adolescents aged 12-17 with COVID-19 who meet certain criteria. (See below). The clinic continues to serve our adult population as well.
Monoclonal antibodies may block the virus that causes COVID-19 from attaching to human cells, making it more difficult for the virus to reproduce and cause harm. Monoclonal antibodies may also neutralize a virus and can help reduce COVID-19 hospitalizations which is critical given the current strain on our healthcare system.
