Monday, October 10, 2022 Stay Healthy This Winter with Free Flu and COVID Vaccines

San Juan Regional Medical Center and San Juan County Public Health are partnering to keep our Four Corners community healthy with free flu shots and COVID vaccines.

Drive-Thru Flu Shots

San Juan Regional Medical Center is offering two opportunities to get a free flu shot as part of our commitment as a community owned and operated hospital. These drive-thru flu clinics are a quick, easy way to protect yourself and your loved ones without even getting out of your vehicle.

  • Saturday, October 22 and Saturday, October 29
  • 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • North visitor parking lot (corner of Maple Street and Schwartz Avenue)
  • Available on a first come, first serve basis for adults ages 18 and older

Please talk to your child’s provider to schedule a flu vaccination for children under the age of 18. Patients at San Juan Health Partners Pediatrics can call 505.609.6700 to schedule their flu shots.

COVID Vaccine Clinic

After your flu shot, drive on over to the San Juan County Public Health Office for a COVID vaccine or booster.

  • Saturday, October 22 and Saturday, October 29
  • 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • 355 South Miller Avenue
  • Available on a first come, first serve basis for anyone 6 months and up

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone 6 months and older receive an annual flu vaccination, ideally by the end of October. When it comes to COVID-19, the CDC recommends everyone stay up to date with vaccines and boosters for their age group. In addition, the CDC reports that getting a COVID-19 after you recover from COVID-19 infection provides added protection against reinfection. The CDC endorses the co-administration of the COVID-19 vaccine at the same time as other vaccinations.
