Winter is cold and flu season and it’s the busiest time of the year for San Juan Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Department and San Juan Health Partners Urgent Care. So when should you go to the ER and when should you visit urgent care? It’s all a matter of urgency or emergency. Do you know the difference?
San Juan Health Partners Urgent Care is there for you when you aren’t able to visit your doctor’s office. It is open seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for walk-ins. Urgent Care providers treat:
• Minor illness or injury
• Cold and flu symptoms
• Sore throats, coughs, earaches
• Sports injuries and minor cuts
• Sprains and simple fractures
The Emergency Department at San Juan Regional Medical Center is equipped to handle medical emergencies and is open all hours, 365 days a year. Emergency Department providers treat:
• Chest pain
• Severe asthma or emphysema
• Severe abdominal pain
• Sudden onset of severe headache or stroke symptoms
